A bit about Burnelee...

Lindsey Butt's connection with horses began in his early days living on the land. Not allowed to have a horse of his own, he taught himself to ride on a poddy calf.

The two were quite a sight, mustering cattle on the family's property. On his sixteenth birthday Lindsey finally got his own horse. He was a true natural and under the experienced eye of local horseman Charlie Connor, he quickly earned a reputation as a gifted horse trainer.

Lindsey's connection with the land and his horses never left him, and as the family's mob of horses grew, he opened a horse-riding business to share his passion with others.

Thus Burnelee Excursions was born. These days Lindsey's children all ride and help organise the rides and have done so since they could walk. Their intimate knowledge of the horses - who are virtually part of the family - and their inside knowledge of the intricacies of the property on which they grew up, is part of the fabric of their soul.

Lindsey's passion extends to the property itself with its 1000 acres of lush natural bushland that five generations of the Butt family have all called home.

Trail rides amble through the bushland and across a breathtaking fully operational grazing property where riders can experience the thrill of a sheep muster. What attracts people to Burnelee is the flexibility it offers guests. While rides are tailored for safety and enjoyment, often a trail is determined by the general feel of the day.

Nothing is set in stone at Burnelee ensuring your equine experience is one to remember. You do need to book if you want to make sure there's a horse waiting for you, so for a taste of country life, come and say g'day to Lindsey and family and join them for a ride.
